In a 50-50 joint venture between Ørsted and Eversource, 880MW of offshore wind energy, powering nearly 540,000 homes, will be built 30 miles east of Long Island’s Montauk Point.
By 2035, New York wants to power 6 million homes with 9,000 megawatts of offshore wind energy.
